Dementia and Hygiene Problems

Sometimes I run across an article that is so well-written that it deserves to be presented as is.  Here is one of those articles.  It highlights one of the major problems encountered by those who care for someone with dementia:  how to handle hygiene.  Either the person forgets to bathe, or forgets HOW to bathe, or refuses to do so.  Or any of a number of other problems.  Here’s a well-written and very detailed outline of the issues involved:
