Help for Hispanic Caregivers

Image courtesy anankkml @ http://www.freedigitalphoto.netReportedly, the prevalence of dementia in the Hispanic population is twice as high, in the U.S., as in the general population.  I read a report today about an effort currently being conducted by the Columbia University School of Nursing to develop and test a web-based program to provide assistance for persons with dementia and their caregivers.  It is being designed to meet the needs of the Hispanic community, and their unique experiences and stressors.

More information on this much-needed endeavor can be found here.
